.... hi mr turner, hi i'm joe rimio, the surfer from redondo beach, we spoke sunday night. well yeah i would enjoy hearing your cd i am always into expanding my music outlook. I have the angry samoans cd the unboxed set which was my very first and i was riveted by it....but i'll let u in on a lil secret....i was disappointed by the concert i went to this past saturday night...i was enamored just to be in the presence of the last few remaining members of the band, but really it just wasn't the same....the metal man didn't sing much, i swear this new guy named jonathan hall who plays guitar, he's got long hair and looks like he should be in aerosmith, sang most of the music. I was like ok well i guess the metal man is a lazy old dude now....needless to say he's still a skinny pipsqueak....i noticed u have this hatred for him and i can see why when i read the pocket sheet for the unboxed set...i was like ok none of that seemed so bad, but re! ally i wasn't in the band, it seemed really silly but i am sure of putting up with any of that bs u went thru could drive anyone nuts and make the whole rock and roll thing get really old really fast. hey but i had this one lil question to ask you why did jeff dahl replace the metal man for that one year? i never understood it. I even talked to some guys who were like "fuck the samoans etc...jeff dahl is better etc his solo career is great blah blah blah.." i was like "ok thats great, whatever..." Anyways there are still alot of punks out there who know the Angry Samoans still exist (in some form) but its never the same and when u say the metal man should hang it up, thats a very bold, and convincing statement i mean, they are still trying to cash in on their old glory, but sometimes it's all they know how to do. And its weird to see the metal man contradict himself with his statement, "the only thing lower than a heroin junk! ie, is a rock star," i mean who's still the rock star??? (hint-hint)..... metal mike, vockeroth!!!! oh well i very much agree with u on those issues of why metal mike is dragging it on, it does seem a lil pointless.
